Arthur A. Hansen

Arthur A. Hansen is an emeritus professor of History and Asian American Studies at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF), where he taught between 1966 and 2008. The founding director of the Japanese American Project of the CSUF Oral History Program in 1972, he served as the senior historian for the Japanese American National Museum from 2001 to 2005. His research specialization is resistance activity within the World War II Japanese American exclusion and detention experience. Between 1992 and 2005 Hansen coedited a five-part collection of interviews entitled the Japanese American World War II Evacuation Oral History Project , which was published by K.G. Saur of Munich, Germany.
