Esther Newman

Esther Newman , after a career in marketing and media production for Ohio's Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, entered a graduate program at Youngstown State University to study twentieth century American history. While there, she became interested in her family's history and now pursues independent research on topics affecting the Japanese Diaspora including internment, migration and assimilation. Now back in her home state of California, she is a volunteer for the Japanese American National Museum and a frequent contributor to DiscoverNikkei.org .
