Among the stories highlighted are Honnami Taedo, a ceramics shop in San Francisco Japantown; the <i><a class=\"encyc notrg\" href=\"/wiki/Rafu_Shimpo_(newspaper)\" title=\"Rafu Shimpo (newspaper)\">Rafu Shimpo</a></i> newspaper, Fugetsudo sweet shop, and the <a class=\"encyc notrg\" href=\"/wiki/Japanese_American_National_Museum\" title=\"Japanese American National Museum\">Japanese American National Museum</a> in Los Angeles' Little Tokyo; a San Francisco-based quilt project by Japanese American women that documents the wartime events; and the Asahi Market in Oxnard, which was run for the Japanese American proprietors by a Mexican American family during the war.\n</p><p><i>Forced Out</i> was jointly produced by the Central Valley Asian-American Chamber of Commerce, Sacramento Asian-Pacific Chamber of Commerce, and KVIE 6, a public television in Sacramento. Among the funders for the project were ChevronTexaco, the Henri and Tomoye Takahashi Charitable Fund, and the <a class=\"encyc notrg\" href=\"/wiki/California_Civil_Liberties_Public_Education_Program\" title=\"California Civil Liberties Public Education Program\">California Civil Liberties Public Education Program</a>. The film was first shown on KVIE on May 30, 2003.\n</p><p>The DVD release of the program includes extended interviews with Nao Takasugi, George Takei, and Steve Fugita, a feature on San Jose's Japantown, and vignettes on Lillie Fujita, who resettled in Seabrook Farms, New Jersey after the war, and Edward Endow, a Stockton pharmacist who discusses the destruction of the Japantown there due to redevelopment.\n</p>\n<div id=\"authorByline\"><b>Authored by <a class=\"encyc notrg\" href=\"/wiki/Patricia_Wakida\" title=\"Patricia Wakida\">Patricia Wakida</a> and <a class=\"encyc notrg\" href=\"/wiki/Lewis_Kawahara\" title=\"Lewis Kawahara\">Lewis Kawahara</a></b></div>\n<div id=\"citationAuthor\" style=\"display:none;\">Wakida,Patricia and Kawahara,Lewis</div>\n<p>Might also like <i>F<a class=\"encyc rg\" href=\"/wiki/From_a_Different_Shore:_An_American_Identity_(film)\" title=\"From a Different Shore: An American Identity (film)\">rom a Different Shore: An American Identity</a></i> (1994); <i><a class=\"encyc rg\" href=\"/wiki/Starting_Over:_Japanese_Americans_After_the_War_(film)\" title=\"Starting Over: Japanese Americans After the War (film)\">Starting Over: Japanese Americans After the War</a></i> (1996); <i><a class=\"encyc rg\" href=\"/wiki/Return_to_the_Valley:_Japanese_American_Experience_After_WWII_(film)\" title=\"Return to the Valley: Japanese American Experience After WWII (film)\">Return to the Valley: Japanese American Experience After WWII</a></i> (2003)\n</p>\n<div id=\"RelatedArticlesDisplay\">\n<div class=\"section\" id=\"Related_Articles\"><h2><span class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"Related_Articles\">Related Articles</span></h2><div class=\"section_content\">\n<p>\n</p>\n<div id=\"RelatedArticlesSectionDisplay\">\n<div class=\"section\" id=\"\"><h3><span class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"\"></span></h3><div class=\"section_content\">\n<p>\n</p>\n<ul><li> <a class=\"encyc notrg\" href=\"/wiki/Documentary_films/videos_on_incarceration\" title=\"Documentary films/videos on incarceration\">Documentary films/videos on incarceration</a></li></ul>\n</div></div></div>\n</div></div></div>\n<div class=\"section\" id=\"For_More_Information\"><h2><span class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"For_More_Information\">For More Information</span></h2><div class=\"section_content\">\n<p>Lin, Sam Chu. <a class=\"external text offsite\" href=\"https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/asianamericanartistry/conversations/messages/1961\" rel=\"nofollow\"><i>Nichi Bei Times</i>, May 30, 2003</a>.\n</p>\n<!-- \nNewPP limit report\nCPU time usage: 0.128 seconds\nReal time usage: 0.131 seconds\nPreprocessor visited node count: 401/1000000\nPreprocessor generated node count: 2693/1000000\nPost‐expand include size: 11238/2097152 bytes\nTemplate argument size: 3702/2097152 bytes\nHighest expansion depth: 4/40\nExpensive parser function count: 0/100\nExtLoops count: 0/100\n-->\n<!-- Saved in parser cache with key mediawiki:pcache:idhash:1716-0!*!0!!*!5!* and timestamp 20180309150543 and revision id 28508\n -->\n</div></div><div class=\"toplink\"><a href=\"#top\"><i class=\"icon-chevron-up\"></i> Top</a></div></body></html>",
