Told in a flashback after <a class=\"encyc notrg\" href=\"http://encyclopedia.densho.org/Nisei\" title=\"Nisei\">Nisei</a> daughter Mitsue revisits the site in 1972, the play incorporates the arrest and internment of the <a class=\"encyc notrg\" href=\"http://encyclopedia.densho.org/Issei\" title=\"Issei\">Issei</a> patriarch, the military service (in the <a class=\"encyc notrg\" href=\"http://encyclopedia.densho.org/Military_Intelligence_Service\" title=\"Military Intelligence Service\">Military Intelligence Service</a>) of a baseball loving son, and relationships with Native Americans on whose land the camp had been built.
