Wood\n  </b>\n  is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of International Education at New York University, where she received the Ph.D. in International Education in 2013. Her dissertation, a comparative study of recent efforts to educate the public about the confinement of Japanese Americans and Japanese Canadians during World War II, reflects her scholarly interests in history education, national identity, and apology/redress for historical injustices. She is the recipient of several competitive grants, including the Mitchell Leaska Dissertation Award and the Doctoral Student Research Award from\nthe Government of Canada. At NYU, Dr. Wood is also the Administrative Director of the Multinational Institute of American Studies, a six-week program for visiting international scholars sponsored by the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
