\n \n Linda Tamura\n \n is Professor of Education Emerita, Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. She is the author of\n \n The Hood River Issei: An Oral History of Japanese Settlers in Oregon’s Hood River Valley\n \n (University of Illinois Press, 1993) and\n \n Nisei Soldiers Break Their Silence: Coming Home to Hood River\n \n (University of Washington Press, 2012) as well as various articles. Linda co-curated\n \n What If Heroes Were Not Welcome Home?\n \n a traveling exhibit from the Oregon Historical Society based on her latest book. She is co-editor-in-chief of\n \n The Oregon Encyclopedia\n \n (oregonencyclopedia.org).\n
