    "body": "<div class=\"mw-parser-output\">\n <p>\n  After completing her B.A. and M.A. at Kyoto University, Japan, and her Ph.D. at Indiana University, Bloomington, Naoko Wake joined the faculy of Michigan State University, where she is currently an assistant professor of history. She is the author of\n  <i>\n   Private Practices: Harry Stack Sullivan, the Science of Homosexuality, and American Liberalism\n  </i>\n  (Rutgers, 2011) and the co-author (with Shinpei Takeda) of\n  <i>\n   Hiroshima/Nagasaki Beyond the Ocean 海を越えたヒロシマナガサキ\n  </i>\n  (Nagasaki National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims, 2014). She is currently working on her second monograph\n  <i>\n   Bombing Americans: Gender and Trans-Pacific Memory after World War II\n  </i>\n  , which explores the history of Japanese-American and Korean-American survivors of the Bomb with a focus on their transnational memory, identity, and activism.
