Thomas (Tom) Parker poses for this dramatic post-war portrait that boldly states: "I am a photojournalist." After World War II, Parker was the only WRAPS photographer who continued in government service, winding up in the U.S. Information Agency. Before he retired, he completed assignments in both the Middle East and in the Philippines, promoting the virtues if not the interests of the United States. This was his "official" photograph, and thus on file and linked to Parker's federal employment portfolio.
