Tina Takemoto

Tina Takemoto is an artist and associate professor of visual studies at California College of the Arts in San Francisco. She holds an M.F.A. in visual art from Rutgers State University of New Jersey (1995) and a Ph.D. in visual and cultural studies from the University of Rochester (2002). She has published peer-reviewed academic essays and has exhibited artwork nationally and internationally. Her film Looking for Jiro received Best Experimental Film Jury Award at Austin Gay and Lesbian Film Festival. She is board president of Queer Cultural Center.
