John Christgau is the author of eleven books and three one-act plays. His novel SPOON won the Society of Midland Authors prize for "Best Fiction." ENEMIES , this country’s first book on the World War II alien enemy internment program, was republished by the University of Nebraska Press in 2011. He is the author of KOKOMO JOE: The Story of the First Japanese American Jockey in the U.S. His most recent book is entitled BIRCH COULIE: The Epic Battle of the Dakota War .
