Takako Day is an award-winning freelance writer who has published seven books and hundreds of articles in Japanese and English. Her latest book is Show Me the Way to Go Home: The Moral Dilemma of Kibei No-no Boys in World War Two Incarceration Camps. A shin issei born in Kobe Japan, she came to the US in 1986. Facing the harsh realities of daily life in America, she began searching for her new identity, born from the split between the pre-war traditional Japanese values of her parents and the American idealism imposed on post-war Japan.
